A Higher Level of Protection

DON’T WISH YOU HAD IT, KNOW YOU HAVE IT!

At Heavy Equipment Armor we create enhanced custom and bolt-on guarding for skid steers and excavators. From construction to forestry equipment, we provide extra protection to you and your machine. So, you can complete your work safely.

The products we design, and produce aren’t universal fits, we don’t cut corners making a one-size-fits-all product. Rather, we find the best possible fit for each machine. This allows us to ensure the best performance when it comes to the safety of you and your workers. And our line includes enhancements specifically engineered for the Caterpillar 332.

The Caterpillar 323 Next Generation delivers, power, speed and high production performance. With more standard technology than prevoius models, the highest lift capacity in the line-up, plus reduced fuel and maintenance costs. The Caterpillar 323 has all you need to take your business to the next level. And when equipped with a forestry mulcher the sky is the limit.

All this strength and stability comes in handy when you’ve got a job to do. It can also mean that you need to proceed with caution. The kinds of weight that this machine is ready to handle can sometimes surprise you. From loads shifting unexpectedly to materials giving way in an instant. You’ll want to make sure you can trust the barrier between you and any incoming force.

Our Defender Window not only adds extra protection to your excavator and you, but it is ideal for any job you will encounter. If you are reclaiming and deforestation, in steep areas like riverbanks, power lines, pipe lines, and railroad right of ways, or doing fuel reduction to prevent forest fires. Our Defender Ballistic Window and custom guarding with be the protection you can count on!

Implementations were made to make your life easy, but that doesn’t always mean they’re safe. Each time you deal with heavy equipment, whether hammering on concrete, cutting trees, or mulching on rocky ground, things can become dangerous. Things that are not under your control. You can trust your safety with HEA, you can breathe easy no matter what you’re dealing with.

We specialize in working with steel guarding and polycarbonate products that always make the grade. Ballistic windows, and enhanced guards can all work within the setup that your Caterpillar came with, without sacrificing any functionality.

The proof of our strength lies in the testing. The polycarbonate we use has rating of UL752 Level 1. This means that even though you’ve got a clear view going out, there’s isn’t much that can get in. A UL752 Level 1, provides protection against three shots of a 124 grain, 9mm FMJ lead core projectile from 15 feet with a shot spacing of 4 inches. The test performed in a controlled environment at varying temperatures. From as low as -26 F and as high as 120 F.

The polycarbonate enhancements you’re buying from us aren’t milled or drilled. But many other companies are literally cutting corners and can’t make the same guarantee. These products generally won’t make it above a rating for heavy impact. When they have been altered to fit hinges and handles, it can make them susceptible to micro-fractures.

Our superior systems aren’t only going to bolster the strength of your machines, they’ll be available with very little wait. We can have the parts you need with a seven-day turnaround. When they arrive, you can be confident of their fit. Once you firmly secure them with heavy-duty bolts that fit into the openings your machine already has.

Be Aware. Not All Polycarbonate Is Create Equal.

*Bullet resistant does not mean “bullet proof”. The Level 1 polycarbonate in the Defender Window has a rating to withstand a ballistic attack from a 124 grain, 9mm FMJ lead core projectile from 15 feet with a shot spacing of 4 inches. The test performed in a controlled environment at varying temperatures as low as -26 F and as high as 120 F (outside temperature).

NOTE: The guard is to use as a brush guard only. It is not a certified FOPS/ROPS guard.
